What happens when you mix a â??paint by numbersâ?? silly monster movie (Anaconda etc) with a political message about genocide (Blood Diamond)? Primeval, thatâ??s what. It did the monster side of it well, apart from the annoying a.
D.d. editing, it had all the familiar elements and captured that side of it pitch perfect. On the other hand the political bit wasnâ??t bad either, and was handled well. But both in the same move felt very unsettling, was I supposed to take the crocodile seriously? Or the genocide with tongue in cheek?! Very strange indeed.
