Review of Primeval (2007) by Adam B — 05 Dec 2007
Many many problems with this one:
-the movie tries to be serious, bouncing from a war drama and goofy monster flick.
-orlando jones should have had more lines as the only time I got a chuckle was when he spoke.
-incredibly predictable.
-the computer animation on the croc made it look like a computer animated croc.
-shouldn't have claimed to be based in reality.
-viewing sequence: croc eats someone, bored, bored, bored, orlando jones says something ammusing, bored, bored, croc finally reappears to do things no croc would ever do, predict the ending, bored, bored, croc, knew that was coming, knew that was coming, the end.
Movie would have been better served to either be just a monster movie or just be a serious look at the Burmese civil war.
Note: Gustave is/was a real croc living in Burma and he is a maneater, with a claimed death toll around 300, but a croc the size of a school bus isnt chasing anyone on dry land as in the most ridiculous scene in the movie.
