Far better than I thought it would be, largely sold as your typical monster on the loose flick, released around the same time as a dozen or so other similar films. Though unlike those this is set against the backdrop of a very real human genocide and if anything the giant croc on the loose is the sub-plot, okay so the subtext is a little heavy handed 'man is the real monster' etc.

.. but the film plays its scares just right and manages to keep its CGI croc limited for as much screen time as possible.
