Review of Primeval (2007) by Harrison F — 04 May 2008
The most brutal croc ever known in, perhaps, the most brutal croc film ever! This is a great creature feature, inspired by the true, and ongoing, story of Gustave, the largest crocodile in Africa, who's said to have claimed at least 300 lives.
While Gustave himself moved a bit too fast on land for my liking in this film, he's nonetheless the best CGI croc I've ever seen. For a creature film, it's awesome, brutal, and sets a standard for others.
Whether it's your cup of tea or not, Primeval (named Primeval Kill in the UK) is worth a look, and definitely better than Tobe Hooper's shite film Crocodile.
