I'm a huge fan of doing more with less, and hugely disappointed in the way most modern sci fi movies use excessive CGI in place of basic story writing. Which is why Primer was such a breath of fresh air.
No special effects, all story, engaging in a way that most modern mysteries and sci fi movies should learn from.
