Amazingly this movie was shot on a budget of only $7,000. It deals with accidental discovery of time travel by 2 engineers who are part-time inventors and the ramifications of the cause and effect of their time travel.
I liked the fact that they discovered that their machine enabled time travel by accident as so many great scientific discoveries have occurred by accident or as a by-product of a search for something else unrelated.
It is full of scientific talk which they don't dumb down for the viewer although it does make it hard to follow what they're talking about at times. Their first idea is to use the machine to travel a few hours back in time so they can play the stock market and make money.
But then they decide to use it to stop someone pulling a gun on a friend at a party which causes all manner of problems. The plot is complicated but I think it is clever. If you like sci-fi you'll probably enjoy this take on time travel and the ethical questions it proposes.
