Review of Primer (2004) by Daniel D — 20 Nov 2012
I read an essay that Chuck Klosterman wrote about this movie, and I agree with him: I'm not sure I understood this movie, but I appreciated it for what it tried to do. I think the almost indecipherable technical nature of the movie helps it, rather than hinders it.
It will take several more viewings to get what writer and star Shane Carruth has done with this minimalist time travel story, but I understood enough to know that those viewings will pay off. This is a must see for sci-fi fans, particularly those who are interested in time travel.
