It's obvious that Carruth put a lot of thought and effort into the film; It is tightly-written (at least seemingly), thought-provoking, and complicated, with its complexity being a point of interest and discussion, but also maybe a slight drawback, as repeated viewings almost become a necessity to fully comprehend it.
