Review of Primer (2004) by Jared S — 11 Jun 2013
It's biggest flaw is also what makes it so interesting. The concept of the time traveling in this movie is downright confusing and complicated to understand (some people will get it w/ no problem, most people won't). And this takes away from the heart of the story which is built on a friendship that quickly deteriorates (which is not covered in the best of detail and not as well executed as the other elements of the film).
But Primer grabbed my attention just like Memento and other films have, even though I had no idea what was going on initially. So damn good in all areas of production quality for a movie under $1,000,000 let alone $7,000.
