Review of Primer (2004) by Kristi W — 02 Jul 2010
Oh. My. God. WHAT THE FUCK?!?! This movie is intense. I could not think straight after watching it. In a great, fantastic, wtf sort of a way. So the director, Shane Carruth, made this movie for something under $10,000.
I really don't know how anyone without a science background could even begin to follow the plotline. Four guys experimenting with crazy ideas in a garage that end up making something that can actually send things -- and then people -- back in time.
Only not in the usual Hollywood fashion where they dumb it down and use horrible sort of scientific ideas just to sound smart that don't really make sense. I need to watch this movie again. And again.
And again. I don't even think I can fairly say anything about it because I'm not sure I really understand what the hell happened! I mean I do, but I feel like I could get so much more out of it by watching it at least several more times.
This is quite possibly a movie that is impossible to fully understand. I LOVE IT! Can somebody PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure this movie gets added to my collection? Thanks!
