Review of Primer (2004) by Andy O — 14 Mar 2014
I suspect this is one of those films that requires more than one watch to fully grasp. I also have a feeling that it is being deliberately obtuse and swamps the viewer with nonsensical techno babble in order to appear intelligently superior.
Watching this film is like talking to a doctor - who takes great enjoyment in being smarter than you and feels the need to remind you of the fact with every over convoluted medical term spoken. It may sound like I'm criticising the film, and don't get me wrong it was.
..insanely brilliant, but you have to wonder if the same effect would have been achieved if the characters spoke like normal people...
