Review of Prime Cut (1972) by Jan D — 21 Mar 2008
Refreshingly sleezy and ultraviolent oddball neo-noir from "Smile" director Michael Ritchie. Lee Marvin plays Nick Devlin, a Chicago hitman sendt to Kansas City by the mob to collect a 500.000 $ debt from a sleezy cattle baron named Mary Ann (Gene Hackman).
Just sit back and enjoy the carnage! They don't make men like Lee Marvin anymore, and they sure as hell don't make movies like this either.
