A very interesting, moving, and funny look into a presidential campaign that obviously is meant, in some part at least, to resemble Bill Clinton's Presidential-run in 1992. The script is extremely witty, and the cast is perfect, especially Kathy Bates, Emma Thompson, and Billy Bob.
The approach Nichols takes, where the action is viewed from Henry's point-of-view, never letting us see the Stantons in private, is the perfect approach. One of 1998's best films, and one of the most underrated movies of the decade.
Oh yeah - also the last time Travolta has been in a decent film.
