Review of Primal Fear (1996) by Sarah G — 01 Feb 2009

Norton is completely amazing and totally worthy of his Oscar nod. Gere was better than he usually is but he still grated on my nerves. The rest of the cast were fine. The story has great character depth and development.

If you don't watch the movie for Norton's performance (which is reason enough to watch it), watch it for the ending. By the time the film gets around to it, the ending is fairly obvious, or at least guessable.

But it makes the movie; it really does. It gives it its darkness and depth and truth.
