Review of Primal Fear (1996) by Matthew M — 27 Feb 2009
I really enjoyed this movie and although the ending really jolted me and surprised me it was awesome. That twist is definitely one of the best I have seen. I was like oh my God Edward Norton I believed in and I trusted his character.
Well as for the rest of the movie it is a well done crime drama thriller. I enjoyed it a lot with great performances all around. Now I can see why Edward Norton was nominated for an oscar. Also when I think about it more Richard Gere's character Martin Vail acts all tough as though he does not care if he is guilty or not.
Then he becomes a human at the end and when he finds out what he defended he feels really depressed. He won the case but the lonely walk at the end I feel like he lost his heart. The film is pretty depressing but has many messages in it.
I feel like I might be thinking about this film for awhile.
