Priest presents one of the strangest post-apocalyptic visions in recent years. An apocalypse that came about through a fierce vampire war. But to call the creatures in this film "vampires" is criminal.
Sparkly vampires are nothing compared to the atrocity that Priest does to vampire lore. Even at that, the creature effects are poor, and the story is disjoint and underdeveloped. Paul Bettany and Maggie Q put in solid performances, but are unable to raise the material.
