Review of Priest (2011) by David S — 12 May 2012
Priest is an accumulation of an assortment of movies into one somewhat straightforward action movie. It impresses with the straight and narrow storyline and the lack of subplots and sub characters, but unfortunately, that is all there is good to say.
The action itself is stolen and diminished from many other films, the main villainous creatures are recycled from a number of movies, and so on. Priest provides nothing new, except a waste of 83 minutes from your life, which itself is not new.
Paul Bettany should attempt to steer back into comedy and away from action.
