Review of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016) by Kat R — 08 Jun 2016

This is the perfect date movie and beyond that, it's just a lot of fun. A classic love story period piece meets zombie gore and period war movie. Though I haven't read the same titled book, the story as adapted from Pride & Prejudice did well to stick with the feel of the novel, and how the characters lives related to one another and merged the zombies into it in such a way that made the retelling of the classic fresh and gave a new spin on zombie movies alike.

The special effects, makeup and acting were all top notch. Further, it was refreshing to see the twist on female roles of the time period - as influenced by necessity they were generally strong capable women adapted to the environment.

My only complaint was I didn't enjoy Mr. Darcy very much and I'm not sure who's at fault for that. However Elizabeth more than makes up any short comings.
