Why play it safe if you are going with a low concept experiment? Zombie lovers don't have a vocabulary beyond rap lyrics. Jane Austen lovers have contempt for low brow human flesh eaters. So why not give us REALLY CRAZY.
How about hot, sexy, naked zombies fighting proper ladies, who get roughed up and exposed? Why not make the film's best scene, where Darcy proposes to Elizabeth and they physically brawl, a bloody, head bashing, knock down drag out conflagration? Either make it off the wall hilarious or titillating, gratuitous and horrible.
Instead Producer Natalie Portman actually follows much of the story and script we have seen a million times and mixes that with zombie attacks and fights we have seen a million times. STUPID!
