Most anything written by Jane Austen would be a joy to read... but movies based on the writings aren't guaranteed the same success. This movie while good, does not carry the intensity it should. I was a bit bored to be honest.
Coming into this movie 'fresh' you may have a good time... but after seeing the A&E mini series version [1995] of this book you just can't stand to watch the 2005 version afterward. The A&E version is miles ahead of this and is a must see.
The acting is superb and the characters do not need rain to make a situation dramatic. I gave the 1995 version 5 stars... but sadly I can only give the 2005 version 3.
