I actually liked two of the side couples: Mr. Collins and Charlotte and Mr. and Mrs. Bennet. Also, they acknowledge that Mary had a crush on Mr. Collins. Other than that everything is wrong. Stoned-red-headed-Bingley in particular comes to mind. I love Matthew MacFayden, but he's completely wrong for Mr. Darcy. Darcy is not some misunderstood, angsty bitch. He's an arrogant ass who is taken down a peg through someone actually telling it to him like it is. I could go more in depth, but honestly, I don't want.
