Review of Pride and Prejudice (1940) by Kayla J — 28 Jul 2007
LAURENCE OLIVIER!!!!!!! I happened to see this when it was on TCM one night and it was just ....ooooh. Greer Garson is really wonderful as Elizabeth, full of wit and humor, and Laurence Olivier ... he's the only man who could make me love Heathcliff and he lives up to expectations as Mr.
Darcy. A delight, once you ignore all the artiistic licenses with the plot (IE Lady Catherine using her conversation with Elizabeth as intell gathering for Darcy and being totally for the match.).
