This film just doesn't work for me; it turns out to be pretty cheesy and I particularly don't understand why the director chose to make Jane as silly as a 14-year-old schoolgirl. The acting is pretentious and the costumes are just plain wrong.
.. not to mention the accent... The performance of Lawrence Olivier is the only thing to recommend.
