Review of Pride (2014) by Matt A — 27 Sep 2014
This is one of those films where everything comes together perfectly. Its funny, heartwarming and ultimately uplifting. Telling the story of the LGSM group, it captures how life was with the rife homophobia and prejudice in the 80's and even deals with AIDS and the prejudice with that.
There are a few surprise character developments along the way, the cast are all on top form, I loved Imelda Staunton, she deserved much more screen time. You must see this film, its an important story that needed to be told even some straight people in the screening were impressed! How times have changed for the better!
