A young gay man in the 1980s marshaled a gay-lesbian alliance to support striking Welsh miners, recognizing they fought the same battle against bullies and a judicial system stacked against them. The misunderstandings between the two groups are treated with humor, but the message of how this support became an important reciprocal one is a powerful one.
