Review of Pride (2014) by Paul E — 05 Jun 2015
I expected to hate this film. I figured it would be a cliche-fest with a TV Movie-of-the-Week feel and production values. I was very wrong. Yes, some of the characters are a bit cliched, but the story (a true story, unknown to me) is powerful and inspiring.
A lot of unknown actors (at least to me), but Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton shine in supporting roles. I can forgive its flaws because it's a story that needed to be told.
