Review of Pride (2014) by Simon T — 30 Mar 2017
Irritating and sentimental drama, well acted by reliable performers like Bill Nighy (struggling with a Welsh accent) and Paddy Considine, but hampered by a script that treads water and seems very contrived and old-fashioned.
Very much in the school of Billy Elliot, Full Monty and Brassed Off. Production design is very accurate.
