Specifically, it's a struggle in 1984, Wales & London. Universally, it's the lesson that we're stronger together, and together we find seemingly disparate populations share the same values: fairness, integrity, fulfillment, joy, love and friendship - belonging and self-determination.
No finger-wagging here. The characters are complex and delightful. Top notch acting. Stunning cinematography. A true tale beautifully told with cheek and heart! And absolutely relevant in 2019.
