Review of Pride (2009) by Dustin G — 21 Jun 2008

Here's the thing. If this movie was the only one of its kind, it would've been much better, great even. But it isn't the only one. I am so sick of these underdog sports stories. Give it a rest, I know there are alot of really uplifting true life stories of teams in sports who, against all odds, overcome and 'find themselves' and get their communities behind them and all that, and I'm not trying to be insensitive towards those things when they happen in real life, but stop making them into pretty much the exact same movie over and over and over again.

There doesn't need to be an underdog sports movie every six months man! 'So why did you even want to see this then' you might ask. My answer to that is, I love Terrence Howard and Bernie Mac.
