Review of Pride (2007) by Jamie B — 16 Feb 2008
It's your typical sprts cliche movie. An underacheiving, down-on-his-luck mentor takes a chance on a group of underacheiving, down-on-their-luck kids. He teaches them how to do what they didn't know they could do.
They fail. The mentor gives a moving speech that brings the kids together. They cry together and then succeed. The acting is ok. The script is ok. The direction is ok. So I guess you could say the movie is, well, ok.
