Review of Priceless (2006) by Michael C — 14 Jun 2008
Sweet French film with some funny moments. The script, plot and one of the main characters are very similiar to another French film called "The Valet". In fact Gad Elmaleh was in both films playing an almost identical character.
One small problem I had with the film was I could not understand the attraction the male lead lead, Jean, had toward self-proclaimed golddigger Irene. She was beautiful, but very shallow and few redeeming qualites. Amour Fou I guess.
I liked how the plot twist where Jean, by accidential circumstances, becomes a giglio/kept man with Irene providing lessons on how to use your wiles to get the bling.
It's a light-hearted film that you may enjoy.
