Review of Prey (2022) by Yakkalakka — 10 Aug 2022

I've seen worse, but this is not a great predator movie. I don't think the main character is quite a mary sue, but she's a borderline mary sue(it's close). There's plenty to enjoy here if you can suspend your disbelief enough to believe she can go toe to toe physically with a predator, even an injured predator.

There's a lot of plot armour as well, things falling right for the protagonist to get her into the position to trick the predator at the end. If you can look past all that, you might find some enjoyment here, but it would have flopped in theatres(it'll do well on streaming though).

A 5/10 movie and no way as good as the classic arnie original.
