Quite positively dreadful entry into the long running Predator series that Hollywood will try and convince you it's a franchise. Yet again we get a pointless Prequel of a beloved original classic film and it's "Disneyfied" with modern day politics, modern day behaviours and 4 foot tall Girl Power.

The special effects in this film are some of the worst visual effects I've seen in decade, possibly not since some other bland Disney cash-grab film. Seems Hollywood truly doesn't look over their rich history of told stories to know this trite affair isn't an origin story of the Predator as that story was told much better in the superior Aliens Vs Predator film from 2004.

This rubbish is woke Hollywood's attempt to supplant a minority as the figurehead of all Predator events going forward, that we are to believe a 4 foot tall Native American with a trusty axe and rope went head to head with a 10 foot alien species??? Talking of Native Americans, what a shoddy bunch of cast members they got to portray the honourable proud Native Americans that completely didn't come across and remind me that I was watching an ancient tribe of hunter gatherers living off the land and being picked off by this otherworldly killer.

These Z-list actors and actresses just reminded me of my time in Pasdena, Los Angeles with their "sooo cool for skool" SolCal talk and backchat, the modern mannerisms that seem like they all caught the time machine of Bill and Ted and headed to California 2021 just to see how snarky and insufferable they can be before heading back nearly 300 years in the past to show how hip and hop the 1700s must have been.

Half expected a Starbucks wigwam tent to pop up. Besides the main actress terrible one note performance of scowling at the mensfolk and running like Baby Leia in the next scene, what also sinks this low brow effort at a Predator film is the filmmakers actually should have as close as true Native American dialect with accompanying subtitles to depict these old warriors of this nation from a bygone era.

Instead we have Disney's very own Pocahontas for the modern age, that will sink to the depths of late night cable trash tv in the years to come. Arnie's 1987 masterpiece and Predator 2 remains the gold standard and untarnished in this film series.
