Medias doesn't have it easy these days as you see in other comments. Most of the 0 and 1 are not that wrong and there swings this woke swords behind its neck and not in a good way. I try to but objective cause they really tried.
A new setting and a more mainstream suited lead role. And I guess that's one of the problems. Predator was never mainstream and never about a coming of age story for a girl. It shows some horror and dark parts but it develops not straight forward in this way.
It has also some very very predictable and standard plots and characters. But it also has some great scents and gives off the 18th century vibe they wanted to show. There could had been more of this. And the best at the end: the fight scenes.
They are better than the average and I liked it. I wouldn't rewatch but I enjoyed it last evening and that's ok.
