Review of Prey (2022) by Fursnake — 05 Aug 2022

This movie was every bit as cliched and contrived as I thought it would be. It actually has the line "if it bleeds we can kill it." The entire end confrontation between the poorly written main character and the seemingly weak excuse for a Predator is just so much stupid it is cheesy.

The Predator can kill a bear in hand to hand combat, it can kill armed Indian braves and armed French trappers but can't manage to kill a 100 lb. girl...this movie is the definition of CONTRIVED! frankly my favorite part of the movie was the dog Sarii.

They just tried too hard to make Amber Midthunder's character a strong powerful woman and it comes off as forced especially when going up against an advanced alien hunter that is like three times her size.

And don't forget the magical herb that can completely nullify your body heat without actually doing anything else. The Predator design was kind of hokey looking too, it looked more like cheap cosplay than any Predator design from the franchise yet.
