Brilliant directorial debut from Alice Lowe.
Where Prevenge's production values may be occasionally rough around the edges, it makes up for it with originality, bleak satire, a very British brand of dark wit and truly shocking scenes of gore.
The fact that this was written in merely 2 weeks, filmed in 11 days whilst Alice was also genuinely pregnant herself, makes it even more impressive.
Her name will be a prominent one in the years to come.
