Review of Pretty Persuasion (2005) by John G — 12 Feb 2008
Reese Witherspoon used a role like this to show off considerable talents and essentially crown her as a star in the making in "Election." This film takes the same premise and pushes it across boundaries of good taste, which wins it points for daring, but after the excess, there's little original left beyond Wood's performance, which falls short of the aforementioned Witherspoon part, but trumps all the similar roles Jena Malone has played.
