Review of Pretty in Pink (1986) by Megan F — 16 Aug 2010
To me this movie is alot like Sixteen Candles, but unlike Sixteen Candles when Andie gets the boy you almost feel sorry for her. Blane is no Jake Ryan because when Andie needs him to stand up for her he is no where to be found.
Molly Ringwald plays Andie with the same sweet teen girl that you can't help but love, this time though Andrew McCarthy fails to be the knight in shining armor that she deserves. That being said though Annie Potts is not to be missed in the role of Lona.
