Review of Pretty in Pink (1986) by Jiana W — 04 Jan 2012
One of the pioneers of the angsty teen drama genre (along with Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, etc.) Funny, entertaining, a little sad. It feels real, even with all its melodrama, and I love all the characters.
But Duckie, however, will always be my man and I always be "Team Duckie" over "Team Blane". I heard originally that Andie was supposed to wind up with him in the end but Molly Ringwald vehemently argued against it.
Too bad, but it's still a classic.
