Review of Pretend We're Kissing (2014) by Dawn P — 16 Jan 2017

The lead actor was quite good, but this film is seriously overrated by critics. Large stretches were boring as hell. There was almost no plot. Awkward boy meets girl. They hit it off. Second date, no magic.

The end. Loooong dull conversations, punctuated with an occasional interesting moment. I was more interested in his friendship with his female roommate than in his relationship with Jordan. Really a yawn.

I fast forwarded 3 times through the dullness. Awkward realism is great, but taking me on a snooze fest was lazy of the writer and director.
