Review of Preservation (2014) by Craig T — 13 Aug 2016
Though more than once, the ligaments of logic were apparently left on the editing room floor, this is a clever little modern-day throwback to the woodsy horror films of old. It has things to say and smartly employs strong actors to help say them - particularly Schreiber who performs a silly, portentous monologue with award-worthy panache.
It's an unsubtle film to be sure, but a wickedly effective one.
