Review of Premium Rush (2012) by Darren H — 28 Oct 2014

I enjoyed this a lot, a nice change of pace for an action movie without a ton of shoot-outs or fight scenes or things blowing up, just an adrenaline packed chase film. Very uncomplicated plot too revolving around a bike messenger who picks up an envelope that attracts the interest of a crooked cop who proceeds to pursue the cyclist throughout the city.

I've never seen a movie revolving around bike couriers before so that was immediately a refreshing angle and I really enjoyed the relentless chase scenes that just never let up. My quads were sympathy aching by the end of this from all that pedaling.

I especially enjoyed the scenes where Willee imagines the possible scenarios involved while trying to avoid a crash through graphics, his views of the potential crashes were often hilarious. Lots of great stunts here.
