Review of Prelude to a Kiss (1992) by Creativejamie.com I — 21 Jan 2014
Another unforgettable and amazing play turned sour by Hollywood. The two leads are an error. Syd Walker is great but none of the punch of the late Craig Lucas' play remains. Any level of "metaphor" that was so strong on stage is completely flattened on the screen.
Kathy Bates seems to show up just to add a bit of class to the whole production. This could not have been Norman Rene's vision for the screen.
