Review of Predestination (2013) by Jim B — 15 Apr 2017
What?s not to love. Time travel, Ethan Hawke and a mind bending loop back around sideways plot. Curvy twists so delicately detailed your head jerks back and keeps saying to itself... "What? But? Wait? Who? Oh? Ah?" The good news though, it all sums up nicely in the end.
And for my money, probably one of the best, if not the best ever time paradox films ever made. Then there is this... Sarah Snook. Yeah, Sarah Snook and? Sarah Snook! Did I mention SARAH SNOOK!!! Holy cow.
. where did this young woman come from? (Australia? damn those Aussie?s!) I cannot tell you how brilliant, mesmerizing and talented this woman is. I feel privileged to have probably witnessed the ?Hello World? event of the next great female actress on the scale perhaps of a Cate Blanchett or Meryl Streep.
Yeah? she is that good! This, not to diminish in the least the always terrific Ethan Hawk. But the film is worth watching multiple times for Sarah Snook?s performance alone. Seriously? wow.
