Review of Predestination (2013) by David L — 13 Jan 2015
Although Ethan Hawke gives one of his worse performances, Predestination is nevertheless a very unique experience and a great take on time travel stories with meticulously detailed, wonderfully crafted storyline, strong direction, many thought-provoking as well as emotional moments, fine pacing and an all around thrilling ride.
It becomes increasingly complicated and almost crazy and even impossible to comprehend near the end, but the sheer scope of the story as well as remarkable attention to detail and smart, always interesting script make it a very refreshing surprise in the sci-fi thriller genre and an entirely authentic, if extremely convoluted flick.
