Review of Predestination (2013) by Cameron H — 03 Dec 2016
Solid adaptation of Robert Heinlein's "All You Zombies." The Spierig brothers add enough material to justify the running length, which barely passes over an hour-and-a-half, without bogging down the brilliance of the original story.
Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook do an excellent job in fleshing out their character(s) for the purpose of good cinema. The story itself may feel like a tool for the means of unveiling a science-fiction phenomenon, but I was still madly entertained by twist after twist after twist.
I would recommend reading the story for the sake of subtlety, but I certainly would not discourage anyone from watching this.
