Review of Predator 2 (1990) by Michael V — 01 Apr 2010

An underrated film.

Predator 2 is hated by most fans and critics, but I disagree.

Predator 2 gave us more details about the Predator. It showed us that he hunts for sport. It also showed us some rules about the Predator: it only kills people who are armed. It doesn't attack the sick either, if the creature is sick with a disease or as in this film, is pregnant, it let's the creature go. And it doesn't just kill it's enemies, it sometimes wants a big duel to finish the creature off, like in the first film.

I understand where the hatred from this movie comes from. No one liked how this film is set in a city, or how none of the characters from the first film returned.

Overall though, I felt that Predator 2 was a good film. It just would of been better if they didn't set the film in a city and brought back some of the original characters from the first film. The Predator also shouldn't of been redesigned for this film.

This film should at least get a fresh rating.
