Review of Predator 2 (1990) by Russell F — 08 Nov 2011
A gritty, entertaining, and action-packed follow up see's Predator 2 take its alien hunter from the Amazon rainforest to the urban jungle of L.A. The sequel amps up the gore and violence, however, without Schwarzenegger the films struggles to match John McTiernan's original.
Nonetheless, Predator 2 is an ultimate guilty pleasure that is definitely worth viewing for the action and dialogue alone. Danny Glover stars a LAPD officer, Lieutenant Mike Harrigan, and although Glover physically lacks Arnie's on-screen presence, he brings depth, dimension and a sense of realism to the character, rarely seen in pre-Die Hard action movies.
"OK pussyface, it's your move!".
