Review of Predator 2 (1990) by Astrid J — 12 Jul 2010
Imperfect but the good parts overshadow the weaknesses. The first half is a cliche ridden cop movie and the second half is a tense and well done sci fi actioner.
The movie gives us a new backdrop for the Predator, introduces a tribe, a ship, and new weapons. Also a sense of honor by not killing a pregnant woman.
The ending climax is the best part, in a small homage to the midpoint of Aliens.
Overall a solid sequel due to some subpar spin-offs.
