Review of Predator (1987) by Tyler E — 21 Sep 2012
The film that has spawned both a lousy and a good sequel just happens to be as classic as "Alien". "Predator" follows a United States task force as they head to South America to help wipe out some insurgents who are holding captives, only to realize that they are being hunted by an otherworldly entity.
The film is 1980's action films personified. The one liners fly left and right, the dirty jokes spew out with life, and enough ammunition is fired to wipe out the moon. The film is awesome for doing what it set out to does, give the audience a good time.
The visual effects, though not abundant, are pretty solid, but the real star here is the Predator. When it's face is revealed, you'll never forget it. The film is a great one, that is so much fun.
